150th Anniversary

Closing Anniversary Year Service

The Closing Service for our final, 150th Anniversary event will be on Sunday, December 29. We close our anniversary year with the ringing of the bells during worship and with a chili lunch following worship. We are also hoping to have our Anniversary/church directory books done and available at that time. We hope that you will join us as we close out this special year.

150th Anniversary "Thank You's"

To Jayne VanAsperen and Ellen Miller, we thank you for the special music at the morning service, it was exceptional. To Brent Wohl and his crew, we thank you for a great meal and good service. To the women of St. John and their pies, they were a hit. To all the people who helped set up Hallam Auditorium Saturday morning and those who helped after the event, thank you. To the members of the 150th Committee, thank you for all the help you gave to the event. Finally, we thank Pastor and Shelley for all the myriad things they did; both for the wonderful service and at the auditorium. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

150th Anniversary 'Odds n Ends'

If you were unable to attend the anniversary banquet last Sunday, please take a minute to sign a colored wood block on the table in the narthex. They will be used to build a 150th anniversary cross. Also, 150th Anniversary Christmas ornaments are available for $15. The gold cross centerpieces from the anniversary dinner are also available for you to take if you would like one.

 

150th Walk Challenge - “WALK IN FAITH WITH ONE ANOTHER”

150th Evangelism Board "WALK CHALLENGE"

As a part of the St. John 150th Anniversary celebration, the Evangelism Board is planning a “WALK” followed by a picnic dinner and we would like to cordially invite ALL members to join us for this special time of Fun and Fellowship. Registration forms will also be available in the narthex. We want to invite ALL members to join us for this special time of Fun and Fellowship.

150th Anniversary Dinner

150th Anniversary Banquet Reservation RSVP 

The Formal Anniversary Celebration Sunday will be on October 13th with Dr. Rev. Sommerfeld as our guest preacher. A Congregational picture will be taken after that morning's Worship. The Banquet will follow at the Hallam Auditorium at roughly 12:00 p.m. Please RSVP for the banquet in the narthex, here on the church website, or via email at stjohncrete@gmail.com.
